Josh Richardson has been quite the revelation for the Miami Heat. Picked 40th overall by the Heat last summer, the rookie has been nothing short of phenomenal despite low standards.
J-Rich showed up again on Friday in the Heat’s big game six win to stave off elimination against the Toronto Raptors. The shooting guard showed the immense athleticism that has seen him become a crucial role player for the Heat by rising up and slamming a huge dunk over Raptors’ center Bismack Biyombo.
Biyombo has made a name for himself all year and especially during this series as an elite rim-protector, so to slam over his outstretched arm must have felt extra special for the rookie.
The dunk was part of a crucial run by Miami at the end of the second quarter to take a sizeable lead over the Raptors before halftime. The lead was never given up as the Heat edged out Toronto through some tough play including another great game from their second-round rookie.
Josh Richardson is proving his sustainability as an impact player in front of a large audience during these playoffs and he is doing it in a big way.
