SZA’s long-awaited album CTRL has entered the Billboard 200.
Last week, TDE’s own SZA finally released the long-delayed project, which was worth the wait. CTRL earned the singer her first Top 10 album as well as a spot on the Billboard 200 chart. While fans have been waiting forever for this project to drop, with it’s June 9 release, it has over 49,000,000 streams.
Before CTRL, the New Jersey singer’s top charting project to date was her 2014 EP, Z, debuting at #39. Recently, SZA talked to Vouge saying she wishes to win a Grammy for the project. The 26-year-old Jersey girl also insisted she learned a lot from recording, saying “I know that God does that to people that he has lessons for. I just wish that I had learned less extreme lessons. I wish God would chill the f— out.”
