The Kristaps Porzingis hype train is a real thing that everyone should be excited about for one reason or another. New York Knicks have a young star on their hands but at one time, fans didn’t see him as the next great hope.
The 2015 NBA Draft was held at the Barclays Center and Porzingis was selected fourth overall by the New York Knicks. For whatever reason, the Knicks fans in attendance booed him to no end and there was even one little fan in attendance that took a selfie of himself crying and booing the Kristaps pick.
Just a few months later, KP is the king of NY and even the little booing fan can’t resist him.
Following from Ian Begley of ESPN.
Kristaps Porzingis, on 98.7 FM, says of the kid that took the infamous crying selfie on draft night: "I heard that he already has my jersey"

Kristaps Porzingis, on 98.7 FM, also said of the boy who took the crying selfie on draft night: "That's a kid. You can't really blame him."

Well, you can’t blame the kid. He is young and most likely uninformed about who Kristaps Porzginis is. Just over 10 games into Porzingis NBA career, he’s already set New York on fire with his putback dunks, almost game-winning shots and great road performances on the road against playoff teams.
Hopefully one day that young fan will meet KP and express his deepest apologies for booing what could be the best pick in the 2015 NBA Draft.
