It’s officially happening. Thanks to THR, we know now that the Space Jam sequel is no longer a rumor, myth or whatever you want to call it. Warner Bros. have finally found the director to bring this generation its Space Jam. Warner has called upon the Star Trek Beyond and Fast & Furious director, Justin Lin to bring LeBron James into his first big lead role. Although its very early on in the process, Andrew Dodge is working on the script alongside Lin. THR reports that Charles Ebersol will be producing the film.
There’s no word on when the follow up to Michael Jordan and the Toon Squad’s classic game in 1996 will be seen in theaters, but you can definitely stay tuned for all updates on the film.
UPDATE: ESPN’s Brian Windhorst says there have been no contracts yet agreed upon for a Space Jam sequel featuring LeBron James.
Despite a report LeBron will star in Space Jam 2, no deal is in place sources say. Maybe at some point but not as of yet.
