Ice Cube is back at it again with a message for law enforcement.
30 years after dropping “F**k the Police” with N.W.A., Cube has another message for law enforcement. “Good Cop Bad Cop” is the latest of his Death Certificate: 25th Anniversary Edition album.
Throughout the song, Cube speaks on crooked cops and their negative influence on others.
“Fuck a black and white when they ain’t actin’ right,” he raps. “Good cop, good cop fillin’ out your report / Bad cop asking you to distort / Bad cop asking you to lie in court / Send another young brother up north / Send another young sister off course / While these motherfuckers chill on the golf course.”
During an interview with Beats 1, Cube spoke on how his music is still for the underrepresented. “When it comes to records, I just think you gotta be a voice for the voiceless.”
