Even though the Knicks Iman Shumpert suffered his torn ACL one day after Chicago’s Derrick Rose, it appears that New York will see their guard on-court before the Bulls get their MVP back. Head coach Tom Thibodeau admitted that Rose is still a long way off from practicing with his teammates, and he cannot guarantee that it will happen before the new year is up either. Rose has been working out in the gym and on his rehab in the meantime.
“Who knows [when he’ll return]?” Thibodeau said after Tuesday’s shootaround. “He’s a long ways away from that, but he’s doing well. He’s doing well. He’s doing fine, but we’re not going to get into daily updates, it’s going to be the same. He’s focused on his rehab, he’s got a long way to go and we have to concentrate on our next opponent and our improvement.”
The Bulls are currently leading the Central Division with an 8-7 record and are on a 2-game winning streak.
