Many proclaim that R&B is dead. To counter, I can assure you that there are many thriving and amazing R&B artists that find themselves creating music for the genre and are more than eager when it comes to keeping it alive and well. Starting off 2016 with one of the first R&B releases of the year is none other than the man himself, Tank. Dropping his debut album, Force Of Nature, in 2001, approaching 15 years later since its release and Tank has continued to make his mark within the music industry. Up next, the ‘Maybe I Deserve’ singer is back in full effect with his 7th solo studio album, Sex, Love, & Pain II. Serving as a followup to his 2007 release, Sex, Love, & Pain, Tank is looking to take things up another level with his latest offering. Backed by collaborations with Chris Brown, Wale, Rich Homie Quan, and others, the album consists of 12 records that touch on topics of love, passion, intimacy, and everything in between. Showing that he’s not to be counted out, Tank has made it his mission to hit hard where it counts. Adding another tally to R&B’s column, take a listen to Tank’s brand new album, Sex, Love, & Pain II, below.
