Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky appeared on NBC’s Meet The Press this weekend and he did not hold back when discussing Russian leader Vladimir Putin. While discussing Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine, he called Putin a “f*cking terrorist.”
“I have a lot of power, back even feeling strong. And I have a lot of energy. It doesn’t mean that we want to fight all our lives because the price is high, like I said,” Zelensky said on Sunday, November 5.
“Because the war takes the best of us, the best heroes, the best men, women, children. That’s it. But we are not ready to give our freedom to this f*cking terrorist, Putin. That’s it. That’s why we are fighting. That’s it.”
Zelensky did note that Russia has had success in its aerial attacks of the European nation, but he is proud of his nation’s military resistance. Moving forward, he remains hopeful that his nation will continue to fight and the United States may provide additional support. President Joe Biden has been avid in his support of a $100 billion aid package that includes support for Ukraine and Israel, but it has hit a roadblock in the House.
“It’s not the question for us. For us, that is real life. So, you know, we wanted to get your support, like we say, yesterday,” he said when asked about the possibility of receiving additional aid for Ukraine.
“That’s why it doesn’t matter it will be today or tomorrow. We just, I think, lose time, lose time. Time is very expensive. That’s why we need your support. But you will get more. You will get more, I’m sure. After our win, you will see all these things.”
