Head Coach Hubert Davis and the North Carolina Tar Heels have landed the commitment of 2023 top 50 recruit and top ten power forward Zayden High. The talented four-star prospect has been a rising star in the class and has been a key focus for the Tar Heels for a few months now. North Carolina will have several key names to replace next season due to graduation and potential pro careers. High committed to the North Carolina Tar Heels over the Texas Longhorns, Arkansas Razorbacks, Michigan Wolverines, and Villanova Wildcats.
2023 four-star forward Zayden High has committed to #UNC — was the Tar Heels’ top remaining target in the class. Stretchy big man who fits ideally with what Hubert Davis wants in his frontcourt players.

Zayden High is a talented recruit that should contribute to the program as a freshman next year. He may not be a “one and done” talent, but he could end up being a backbone member of the roster in his second, third, or even fourth year. High does likely hope to get to the NBA eventually and has the potential to do that. He joins top 20 recruit and top five combo guard Simeon Wilcher as the two 2023 recruits currently committed to the North Carolina Tar Heels.

“I want to go in and do whatever coach needs me to do to win a National Championship.”

Early in his career as the Head Coach of the Tar Heels, Hubert Davis has proven to be a capable coach and recruiter. Zayden High will head to the program next season with a chance to prove himself at a blue blood program. His performance will shape the rest of his basketball career.
