For many, Young T and Bugsey popped on the scene with their 2020 hit, “Don’t Rush.” Earning remixes with DaBaby and Busta Rhymes, the track sparked a global TikTok trend and picked up a gold plaque. While the success of “Don’t Rush” with Headie One was welcomed, it did not move the talented duo away from chasing their ultimate goals. Prior to “Don’t Rush,” the duo released nearly a dozen singles of their own, so they know a thing or two about putting in the work and staying patient. Young T and Bugsey’s commitment to perfecting their sound is what has driven them through the release of their first project, Plead The 5th, and their latest work, Truth Be Told.
“It’s just been a slow, steady grind,” Young T told Apple Music.
“Stage by stage, we’ve moved up, even if it looks to some like we just picked up a big hit and shot straight to the top. We’ve had to claim our milestones and climb. And we want to make it clear: We’re up there with the best in the UK.”
