As many are aware, Yasiin Bey, also formerly known as Mos Def, was arrested recently in South Africa. Due to issues with documentation, Yasiin is being held due to what some simply describe as a misunderstanding. As the rapper currently fights to return to his normal life, in a gesture of kindness and friendship, Kanye West took to his millions of followers on Twitter with a simple tweet that alluded to a message that Yasiin Bey had for those who were currently pondering about his recent status.

In the lengthy message, Yasiin kicked things off with a short freestyle to Kanye’s recently released, ‘No More Parties In L.A.,’ and decided to switch things up to “No more parties in S.A.,” due to his current confinement. Not stopping there, the creative touched on everything from just exactly why he’s in his current predicament, to announcing that he will be retiring from music and film immediately. He also went on to announce that he will be releasing his final body of work this year and thanked Kanye for being a true friend. Sounding to be in as good of spirits as he can, hopefully he will be released much sooner than later. Head over to KanyeWest.com to listen to the message in its entirety.
