XXXTentacion’s first posthumous album Skins debuts at No. 1 on Billboard 200 chart following controversy. The album released Dec 7 features Kanye West and Travis Barker.
Following disputes, the chart data upheld by Billboard confirm XXXTentacion earned 132,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Dec. 13. These units totaled 52,000 sales of the full album and 122 million streams. In life and death, XXXTentacion’s fanbase supports their favorite artist.
While awaiting trial for battery, false imprisonment and witness tampering at the time of his death, XXXtentacion’s transgressions seldom stop his progression. The rappers previous album “?” also entered the charts at No.1 in March.
XXXTentacion’s Skins reaching No. 1 dethrones Meek Mill’s comeback album Championships, as it moves down to No. 2. Michael Buble’s Christmas, Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s A Star Is Born and Gucci Mane’s Evil Genius round out the top five respectively.
