The past few months have been monumental for New Jersey native, Fetty Wap. From the success of his smash debut single, ‘Trap Queen’, to a co-sign/appreciation from the likes of Jay-Z, Beyonce, and Kanye West, Fetty Wap is surely high off like at the moment. Less than 2 weeks ago, XXL Magazine revealed it’s 2015 Freshmen cover, featuring the rapper, and today they have shared the rapper’s freestyle along with a profile from the rapper himself in which he reveals some interesting information in regards to his plans for his career and even introduces us to to his alter-ego.
“Fetty Wap doesn’t exist in the booth. I got alter egos. Zoovier is the ego in the booth, he’s fancy. He the singer, he sings to you and puts the melodies together. Then you got Zoo Wap, he’s rapping. I don’t try to recreate none of my songs. I just try to make good music and have fun. I feel like I gave people the opportunity. This is the time to do what you do if you representing New Jersey. This is that time. People are watching. I feel like I made it a little easier for people. If they don’t catch on now, that ain’t my problem. I did what I had to do.”
Without a doubt, if Fetty Wap plays his cards right, there is a place for him in the music industry, in the long run. It’s up to him to tap into the potentials and keep things fresh, consistent, and true to himself. Check out Fetty’s XXL freestyle, above.
