Marvel and 20th Century Fox have made strides with their latest X-Men films, Deadpool and Logan both receiving positive responses from critics and fans. With Deadpool’s huge box-office success, Ryan Reynolds has become the face of the mutant franchise, and it looks like he will be headlining their next ‘X-Force’ movie.
For fans who don’t know what the difference between the ‘X-Men’ and the ‘X-Force’ team members, long-time X-Men producer breaks it down for you in his interview with Deadline:
“Later on, the producer also said this about the much-anticipated film. “Then X Force which is a combination of Deadpool, and Cable –they’re like the Black ops of the X-Men. They’re much darker and have an R-rated decibel. There are other X-Men characters coming into X-Force at different times in the comic, but it’s separate from X-Men.”

While announcing that Cable, an uncasted mutant set to team-up alongside Ryan Reynolds, in the X-Force movie as well as in the upcoming sequel, Kinberg re-affirmed that they are working diligently to introduce even more mutant characters to the universe.
“We are working hard on New Mutants, Gambit with Channing Tatum, Deadpool 2 and the new X Force movie where Deadpool is alongside Cable and other main characters,” Kinberg confirmed.”
Ryan Reynolds has really given Fox and Marvel a lot of more leeway in terms of what they can work with. We’ve already heard the exciting news that Cable and Domino will be joining Deadpool in his sequel, but that just means that even more heroes may join them. The X-Force comics were just as popular as X-Men comics when they first came out and now with X-Force set to be like Marvel’s version misfits turned superheroes, fans should be excited.
