Smith heads back to Washington where he had some of his best seasons in his career averaging 9.2 points with 4.5 assists per game and shooting 36.7% from the three-point line. In Carey Jr., they get a young big man that can backup Daniel Gafford.
Harrell can boost up the bench production in the same way he’s done with the Clippers, Lakers, and Wizards. He gives them an exterior presence on the offensive end that Mason Plumlee isn’t able to.
Other moves the Wizards have done in this trade deadline includes Aaron Holiday to the Phoenix Suns and acquiring Kristaps Porzingis to support Bradley Beal when he’s back next season.
