Paul Pierce may not be a top tier free agent this off-season, but he certainly will be a hot commodity once the superstars go.
Pierce will be pursued by the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Clippers which I’m sure Pierce will be open to listening to.
The Wizards though feel they still have a shot to re-sign Pierce.
Washington Wizards, I'm told, are quietly but increasingly optimistic about their chances of hanging onto Paul "I Called Game" Pierce

Paul Pierce had a very successful season with the Wizards coming up big for the Wizards throughout the season, and in the post-season.
The Wizards are not only trying to save cap space for free agency in 2016, but to help build a young nucleus around John Wall and Bradley Beal.
If the Wizards can keep Pierce for a year and still try to pursue Durant next season it would be a big plus for the team.
Pierce averaged 11 points per game last season showing he’s slowed down a bit, but obviously his stats were going to be a bit deflated not only due to age but being the third scoring option on the team.
The best storyline for Pierce is going back to Boston, but that really isn’t his best spot to get one more ring before he retires.
If Paul Pierce truly wants a ring he needs to reunite with Doc Rivers or re-sign with the Wizards that will be his best opportunity at the moment.
According to RealGM The Wizards will have first crack as Pierce is scheduled to have a phone interview with the team at the start of free agency.
