With the season over for the Wizards, their cheerleaders are going to have to focus on competing to remain on the team for next season as others try to take their spots. Many of the girls will come back, some will end their careers as cheerleaders, and other will come on for their rookie campaign.
Tryouts will take place on Saturday, July 18th at Trinity University, beginning at 11 in the morning. The cost of the tryout is $10, but is worth the opportunity to possibly be one of the cheerleaders who will watch next season as the Wizards look to improve even more than they did this past year.
The Wizard Girls often perform at halftime and during timeouts when the Wizards play their home games at the Verizon Center. With the Wizards set to improve and have the best season in a long time, these girls should be prepared to perform in front of a full house every night next season.
