Westside Boogie is riding high following the release of his sophomore studio album, More Black Superheroes. With production from Dart, Keyel and several others, the project touches on the rising artist’s battles with depression, working through generational trauma, life in Los Angeles and much more. Along the way, he taps in with Smino, Snoop Dogg, Shelley FKA DRAM and many others.
Recently, Westside Boogie traveled up to New York with the LVRN team. While there, he sat down with Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God of The Breakfast Club for a lengthy album regarding the album and his experience in therapy. Towards the end of the interview, he teased new music.
“When is the deluxe [coming out]?” Angela Yee asked.
“They said I was supposed to turn it in two days [from now], but I do not have it done. Maybe, next week I’ll turn it in,” Westside Boogie answered.
“The 30th,” he added jokingly.
LVRN and Shady Records may not be ready to divulge details regarding the deluxe edition of the album, but they have already shared details regarding his tour. The “More Black Superheroes” tour will kick off in Detroit on September 17, 2022. From there, he will stop in Toronto, Brooklyn, Houston, Phoenix, Los Angeles and several other cities. Things will come to a close on October 20, 2022 in Chicago. Grip, Bobby Sessions and Dappa will also join Westside Boogie along the way.
