If you were anticipating a broad, in-depth and dramatic look into the mind of Kobe Bryant, sorry to inform you but ‘Canvas City: Musecage’ is not the place for you. But instead, if you want a fun, animated and insightful look into a part of Bryant’s line of thought, then this latest installment from the Los Angeles Lakers legend is for you.
‘Canvas City: Musecage’ is the second short story project released by Bryant since his formal retirement from the NBA last year. The first short film dropped on Christmas Day, and it took a look at defending the greats in the league. ‘Guarding the Greats’ was a fun, almost interactive way for Bryant to take you inside the mind of what it is like to defend an NBA great. But ‘Musecage’ is a tad different than Bryant’s first project but still has a similar concept in mind.
In a statement released earlier this week, Bryant said the following about his latest work.
“Canvas City: Musecage helps others better their best by delivering complex basketball insights in a light-hearted, easy-to-digest way. The show helps others understand the game at a higher level and offers a new voice to sports storytelling that will hopefully captivate the whole family.”
So without further ado, sit back, grab the family and enjoy ‘Canvas City: Musecage’ in conjunction with ESPN.
