Although some may want David Stern to be the commissioner of the NBA again so he can veto Kevin Durant signing with the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors have become the villains of this league now, as a super team, they are the team everyone wants to topple over. Even commissioner Adam Silver has said that the super team culture is not good for the NBA. Now, with all the criticism in the world about to hit the Warriors next season and it seems owner Joe Lacob recognized that.
Lacob who thinks he is two steps ahead of everyone in the NBA, was asked about Silver’s comments on super teams, including the Warriors and Lacob did not have much to say other than keep it coming. Per Ethan Sherwood Strauss of ESPN:
When asked about Silver’s comments, Warriors owner Joe Lacob declined to comment at first, before saying, “Let them talk,” as he exited Thomas and Mack arena.
They will talk. They will shout. They will yell. But Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, Draymond and Klay Thompson will have to weather the storm in order to lead the Warriors to their 2nd title in 3 years. To know that your owner and your entire organization have your back already, shows the true class organization the Warriors are. Now let the talking begin.
