Legal trouble continues for R. Kelly and his team following Lifetime’s Surviving R. Kelly docu-series.
An arrest warrant was issued over the summer for James Mason, R. Kelly’s former manager, CNN reports.
Mason reportedly threatened to kill Timothy Savage, the father of Joycelyn Savage. Joycelyn was one of the women featured in the Surviving R. Kelly series. Her family claims that she is having a sexual relationship with R. Kelly and that she is being “brainwashed” by the R&B star.
The incident between the former manager and father reportedly took place
in May. In July, a Magistrate Judge issued a warrant in July for “terroristic threats and acts.”
The Savage family says they have not heard from Joycelyn in over two years. However, she responded to these claims in a video released by TMZ stating, “I’m happy where I’m at and everything is okay with me.”
