The first time Wale gave us a preview of ‘Running Back’ off his ‘SHINE’ album, it was a live performance featuring Lil Wayne. The duo took to First Take as apart of their launch for switching over to ESPN and performed live. Several days later we now have the official release of ‘Running Back’.
Prior to ‘Running Back’, Wale has gone on a barrage with his releases preparing fans for his ‘SHINE’ album. We have heard ‘Smile’, ‘Heisman Watch’, ‘Black is Gold’, ‘Folarin Like’ and ‘Groundhogs Day’.
Continuing with the football metaphors and theme, ‘Running Back’ makes the anticipation of the forthcoming album that much more intriguing.
