The Minnesota Vikings have traded for Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford, according to Adam Schefter. The Vikings recently lost Teddy Bridgewater for the season due to a complete ACL tear. This means that the trade is clearly driven by Minnesota’s dire need of a replacement at QB. What the Vikings gave up for Bradford may surprise you, though:
Final terms: A #Vikings 1st rounder n 2017 and a 4th rounder for #Eagles QB Sam Bradford.

Talk about highway robbery.
For starters, Bradford is a below-average quarterback. Trading a first-rounder for him doesn’t make much sense. Second of all, Bradford may only be the starter for ONE year. Of course, this is assuming that Teddy Bridgewater comes back at full strength. Even if he fails to, giving up a first-rounder and a 2018 fourth-rounder for Bradford is mind-boggling. If the Vikings fail to make the playoffs, the Eagles will be laughing their heads off.
This also means that Philadelphia will have a first-round pick for when they host the draft this year. They gave their original pick away to Cleveland in the trade that got them Carson Wentz. Eagles general manager Howie Roseman may have given up a lot for Wentz, but he definitely made up for it with this trade.
One trade for a below-average QB may have just shaken up the NFC as we know it.
