Xbox’s Larry Hryb has a chat with engineer Richard Irving to discuss the June update for Xbox One. Irving lets us know that the June update will all the Xbox One to now support up to two external hard drives, auto sign-in without the kinect, being able to share your real name with friends and some improvements to the smart glass app. Also, another big feature in the update is that users will no longer need a gold Xbox live membership to access certain apps anymore, i.e. Netflix, YouTube, Machinima etc.
Larry and Irving also speak on the improvements to the Smart Glass app. This update gives Smart Glass users a new activity feed which shows any new achievements friends unlocked, also you’ll see which of your friends are broadcasting and if you want to join in and watch, you can. You’ll also be able to rearrange your pins on your home screen from the app.
