In the closing seconds of a 125-94 series clinching win over Toronto, the Wizards fouled the Raptors, which led to two free throws for Toronto. At the beginning of the fourth quarter, Washington put on the scoreboard if any Raptors player was to miss two consecutive free-throws, all fans could exchange their tickets for a free Chick-Fil-A chicken sandwich. Luckily for all fans in attendance, the late foul led to them all receiving Chick-Fil-A as long as they brought their ticket to the restaurant.
The fans went crazy not only because the Wizards won, but because all of the fans at the game were able to get free chicken even though the game was already over. The offer is usually done by Washington in the fourth quarter of a tight game, but an exception must have been made to make the environment in Verizon Center even more exciting. There’s not much else a fan can ask for other than a win and a free chicken sandwich.
