Stephen Curry is the Kia Motors 2014-15 NBA Most Valuable Player.
Curry had some pretty big shoes to fill following up from Kevin Durant’s sensational acceptance speech last year, but Curry was just as honored, humbled, and touching in his acceptance of the MVP award, recounting his passionate journey as a basketball player.
Keeping with Durant’s tradition, Curry addressed every single one of his teammates individually, reminiscing on meeting Harrison Barnes at Chris Paul’s camp, being injured and homebound with Andrew Bogut, and telling Klay Thompson that they should strive to be the best back court to ever play the game. He emphasized themes of family, faith, passion, and will. Curry embodied everything an MVP should be this season.
