The Oklahoma City Thunder hosted the Houston Rockets on Wednesday night. While the return of James Harden to Oklahoma City isn’t quite hyped like the return of Kevin Durant, or even the recent return of Serge Ibaka, it still is a matchup to watch. The newly minted ‘points guard’ went up against his former squad and it was a matchup between two of the top MVP candidates.
Check out highlights from the game below.
James Harden put up a pedestrian line by his standards. He scored only 13 points on 4-16 shooting while he also handed out 13 assists and grabbed seven rebounds but he did also turn the ball over six times. It was Russell Westbrook who put on the big show. The Thunder’s do-it-all man scored 30 points on 9-20 shooting with nine assists and six rebounds with six turnovers of his own.
The supporting cast for both teams stepped up to give their stars a boost. All five Rockets starters, plus two guys off the bench, scored in double figures. For Westbrook, his backcourt partner Victor Oladipo scored 29 points to almost match Russ’ scoring output.
Westbrook ended the game with one hell of a dunk too. So good you have to get another look.
