As Paul Pierce was getting trapped on the baseline, Otto Porter cut straight to the rim so Pierce could find him and dish the ball for an assist. Paul Millsap knew Otto was going to have an open layup, so he grabbed Porter to try and stop the play, but Porter was able to finish through the contact and draw the foul. The foul did not seem to be intentional, but instead Millsap appeared to be swinging his arms around trying to find the ball as soon as he could.
Of course the combination came from Pierce and Porter, who have developed a very close relationship over the past season. Last season, a smart play like this would have never been expected by Otto, but now fans expect to see plays like these on a daily basis. By bringing Pierce to Washington, plays like this will be coming from Otto Porter in the postseason for many years to come.
