Otto Porter had himself a series that he will be able to think about as he works towards an even larger role in Washington next season and look back on when he goes on to do bigger and better things in his career. The series vs Toronto was Porter’s coming out party as he cemented himself into the Wizards rotation for the rest of the postseason with his playmaking. When Porter becomes one of the best player in the league, he will always be able to look back at this series and see where his greatness all began.
On this play, Porter hustled back on defense to help Marcin Gortat stop Tyler Hansbrough from scoring. Porter was awarded with the block and he creeped up on Hansbrough without the Raptors forward even knowing what was about to happen. Hustle plays like this one from Otto have helped him to become a far better defender and overall player than what he was last season.
