The past week in the NBA was another one to be remembered but maybe not for the on-court reasons. There was a ton of drama surrounding the New York Knicks for two separate incidents. They started the week with Phil Jackson once again going at Carmelo Anthony and ended the week banning Knicks legend Charles Oakley from Madison Square Garden. It was something to behold in New York for sure.
But the week also started with a thrilling contest between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Washington Wizards. LeBron James hit an insane shot, John Wall balled out, and Kyrie Irving closed the door in typical Kyrie Irving fashion. But as the week ended, the long-awaited contest between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Golden State Warriors happened on Saturday night. It was Kevin Durant’s formal return to Oklahoma City for the first time since he left the Thunder over the summer. While the contest was a blowout, for the most part, there was still some great moments during the game, capping off another great week in the NBA.
