Martell Webster may have had a tough season based on being able to get playing time in Randy Wittman‘s rotation, but he got in the fun of making highlight plays when the Wizards blew out the Raptors to secure their first ever sweep in a best-of-7 series. When Randy Wittman finally decided to take all of the starters out, Webster gained an opportunity to go out and maybe begin to rehearse for a spot on another team next season. He ended up being given a bounce-pass from Will Bynum for a wide open dunk as there was barely any time left on the clock.
The most surprising action about the play was Webster not being given a technical foul by one of the three officials. He hung on the rim for so long, and seemed to be begging to be given a technical, but the officials seemed ready to pack their bags and go home. Calling the technical would not have meant anything to the Raptors except maybe a score that seemed less of a blowout than what it was.
