Prior to his performance for XXL’s Freshman show at Best But Theatre in NYC, Kidd Kidd was put in cuffs moments before his set. The G-Unit rapper was arrested by plain clothes officers who were clearly waiting for the artist.
To honor Kidd Kidd, 50 Cent and G-Unit took the stage to make up for his absence.

UPDATE: TMZ reports that Kidd Kidd’s arrest stems from an where he allegedly assaulted and strangled a woman in a domestic dispute. He’s been on the run since February.
