As time was winding down on both the shot clock and game clock in the second half, John Wall knew it was his time to shine. Wall put up a floater as time was getting ready to expire, and the shot was nothing but net. Wall has proven time and time again that he is willing to take any shot needed to help his team win, and that DC is his city.
However, Wall has not needed to take on as much of a scoring role as he usually does, but has instead chosen to take more of a passing role. With just time still on the clock in the third quarter, Wall already has 15 assists on the night.
The Wizards have come out and showed they know they let one slip away from them the last time they played the 76ers, and that is not going to happen this time around. The Wizards are dominating, and are looking to expand even further on their lead they have created. Wall has been a huge part of creating the lead, and will be relied on heavily to build more early leads such as this one down the stretch of the season.
