John Wall drove to the basket, and nearly the whole Atlanta team collapsed into the paint, which left Bradley Beal wide open in the corner for a three-point shot. Luckily for the Wizards, the made three by Beal brought Washington to within four points of Atlanta in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. The shot was key to not allowing Atlanta to pull away in the early going of this pivotal game.
Penetration and kicking the ball is going to be how the Wizards will find some of their sharpshooters for shots that will help them control the game and series. Any open shot the Wizards can knock down will help them compete in the series against the Eastern Conference’s best team, the Atlanta Hawks. Being smart and unselfish like Wall was on this play is a must for the Wizards to be able to pull out a win in Game 1, and even maybe a win in this series.
