Even with a major injury to his wrist, John Wall was willing to dive on the ground to save a ball from going out-of-bounds to help save his team a possession. Wall was them smart enough to call the timeout to prevent the ball from being stolen from him, and to stop himself from sliding out-of-bounds. The timeout ended up being the right call to make as Paul Millsap came to try to grab a steal right as the timeout was granted by the official.
Every possession is going to count in Game 6, and getting a loose ball similar to this situation is going to be a key in every opportunity given to the Wizards. Every player needs to be in the mindset that every loose ball belongs to them, and there is nobody that can stop them from getting the ball. Wall will set the tone through leading by example, even if it means risking injuring his wrist even more than it already is.
