VIDEO: Jeff Teague Goes Shammgod And Rondo All Over The Trail Blazers
Jeff Teague let his tricks out of the bag on Friday night as the Atlanta Hawks went on to win their 18th straight game 105-99 against Portland.
In the first clip, Teague comes off the ball screen going right at Chris Kaman. Teague takes a hesitation dribble at Kaman that is most comparable to the shammgod, but it’s more like a half-shammgod. The hesitation freezes Kaman for a second and gives Teague the air space he needs for the shot.
In the next clip, well, we’ve seen this before. Teague turns the corner off the ball screen and challenges both LaMarcus Aldridge (help man) and Nic Batum (his defender) at the basket. A timely ball fake, with much likening to one Rajon Rondo, gets both guys in the air and frees Teague for an open lay up.
It’s no wonder why Jeff Teague (along with two of his teammates) is an All-Star.
