Like how we all do when one of our homies isn’t with us, Jalen Rose and David Jacoby literally “poured some out” in the Grantland Studio for Bill Simmons Monday. Simmons, the former editor-in-chief of Grantland, did not have his contract renewed by ESPN, who operates Grantland, and left the network this month.
“Without Bill Simmons there’s no Grantland,” Jacoby said. Without Bill Simmons this studio doesn’t exist and it doesn’t look as cool. Without Bill Simmons there’s no Jalen Rose podcast, there’s no Jalen and Jacoby so we just want to salute him.”
With a fat head of Simmons’ head looking right into the camera, Rose and Jacoby took out brown paper bags of what looked like to be 40 ounces, and poured some out for the big homie Bill Simmons.
