
It’s just starting to sink in that Kevin Durant is on the Golden State Warriors. The team that lost only 9 games last year, will have the 2013 MVP on their roster, to add to a lineup of star-studded players already. The arrival of Durant to Golden State was similar to that of LeBron arriving in Miami for the first time, unbelievable. When you really think about it, you’re going to be seeing, arguably the 3 best 3-point shooters in the NBA, on one team. So you might constantly question yourself and life as it is. How can this even be possible? How can an MVP that was 11 points away from the NBA Finals, leave his team and go to the team that beat them in that very same round? Simple. Winning.
Once it was clear to Durant that the chances of him winning in Golden State were much higher then with the Thunder, Durant made his ‘basketball decision’ to join the Warriors. Thanks to the recruitment of Draymond Green, Klay Thompson, Stephen Curry and I’m sure, every single person in the organization, the Warriors were able to out bid the likes of the Celtics, Heat, Clippers and Thunder for the MVP.
