Bojan Bogdanovic is not a household name. Bojan Bogdanovic just dropped 44 points in an NBA game.
The Brooklyn Nets have been an abomination all year, accumulating the third worst record in the league. All those losses have no added benefits, either with the Nets’ first round pick owed to the Boston Celtics.
As such, any wins the Nets can actually get is sweet for Nets fans. On Tuesday, they got a taste of such a thing on the back of their second-year forward. On an efficient 17-27 shooting, Bogdanovic scored a career-high 44 points and threw in eight rebounds to lead his team to a blowout win against the Philadelphia 76ers.
The shooter has shown a penchant for scoring in his short career, but this may have been the closest thing to a breakout game that Bogdanovic has had. In fact, Bojan’s big night is a significant milestone for the Nets as it is the highest-scoring game for any Nets player at Barclays Center.
