VIDEO: Al Horford’s First Career Triple-Double Vs. 76ers
Despite the opposition, Al Horford put on display a huge emphasis for the surging Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday night. Horford recorded his first career triple-double against the Sixers with 21 points (8-for-10 shooting) 10 rebounds and 10 assists.
What Horford does for the Hawks, who won their 30th game of the season on Tuesday, is pivotal to their offensive success. Horford, much like his Florida-mate Joakim Noah, is an active center with high energy and awareness. But unlike Noah, Horford has tremendous shooting touch.
Horford’s first career triple-double is exemplary of what he means to this team as a pressure release big man who shoots it well off the catch, can put it on the floor, and will make the appropriate pass. It’s all there to see.
