Fresh off of the wonderful remastered ‘The Last Of Us’, Naughty Dog co-President Evan Wells sat with Eurogamer to talk Uncharted 4. Evan let’s Eurogamer know that, even though Bruce Straley and Neil Druckmann are TLOU directors, Uncharted 4 will remain with the same tone it has had in past installments.
Uncharted is a completely different franchise, and appeals to its audience for completely different reasons. I don’t think The Last of Us marks a new direction in tone that all of our future games are going to take on. We’d alienate a lot of our Uncharted fans. We want to keep it a light-hearted romp. I think from a technical standpoint we’ve learned some things from The Last of Us that will feed into Uncharted – in fact, it strengthens our desire to keep them distinct.
Aside from Straley and Druckmann taking over as leads for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, not much is known of the next installment in the series. You can stick with us for any news that may soon arrive.
