Longtime Miami Heat big man Udonis Haslem has announced he will return for his 20th season in the NBA. He made the announcement Sunday afternoon at his basketball and cheer kids camp at Miami High School. The Miami Heat left a roster spot open anticipating the announcement in the hopes that their veteran would return to the roster. While he doesn’t play much anymore his experience and presence on the bench have been invaluable for a team looking to win another NBA Championship. Very few players make it to 20 NBA seasons and now Haslem will join those ranks.

While this isn’t confirmed, it is likely this will be the final NBA season for Udonis Haslem. He has spent his entire career with the Miami Heat and has contributed plenty to the culture of the team. If this is his final NBA season he will leave behind a legacy and fanbase that few players get to match in their careers. We here at Def Pen Sports congratulate Haslem on his upcoming 20th NBA season.
