Ty Dolla $ign has been cleared of his September 2018 cocaine arrest. The artist and six others were arrested last year after police claimed they smelled marijuana coming from their vehicle. Police found marijuana and cocaine in the vehicle and Ty was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of cocaine, and possession and use of drug-related objects. The six others arrested were released without charges.
In February, Ty was subjected to participate in Georgia’s Second Chance program. The program “includes enrollment in an online drug treatment program.” The musician was offered a deal by his lawyer and prosecutors. If he successfully completed the program and stayed drug-free, all charges would be dropped. In addition, Ty was also subject to random drug testing.
The Blast now reports that Ty Dolla $ign has completed his program. Because he has completed all requirements of his deal, “the two felonies and one misdemeanor charges will now be gone from his record forever.”
