Twitter has suspended yet another political figure for violating their guidelines. The social media platform has suspended Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene for violating their “civic integrity policy.”
“The account referenced has been temporarily locked out for multiple violations of our civic integrity policy,” Twitter stated.
Greene is well known for spreading falsehoods regarding the results of the election. She also is well known for spreading QAnon theories. However, Greene has disputed the reasoning behind the suspension.

“[The suspension is] the borderline monopolistic stranglehold a few Big Tech companies have on the American political discourse, Greene stated.
Greene is not the only political figure to be suspended from the platform. Recently, Twitter suspended President Donald Trump for his connection to the Capitol Hill riots. The social media platform is making a concerted effort to quash the spread of disinformation.
“We’ve been clear that we will take strong enforcement action on behavior that has the potential to lead to offline harm. Given the violent events in Washington, DC, and increased risk of harm, we began permanently suspending thousands of accounts that were primarily dedicated to sharing QAnon content on Friday afternoon,” Twitter stated.
