Twitter is reportedly working on reactions that could mirror those often found on apps like Facebook. App researcher Jane Manchun Wong found that app reactions could include “Likes,” “Cheer,” “Hmm,” “Sad” and “Haha.”
“The icons for the Cheer and Sad reactions are [works in progress] and shown as the generic heart one at the moment,” Wong added.
If true, this would add to the list of new features recently implemented throughout the app. Over the last year, Twitter has add “Spaces,” “Fleet” and “Tip Jar” features. More recently, the app had allowed for user to apply for the coveted blue check, but it appears they will roll that feature back.
“We’re rolling in verification requests,” the company tweeted.
“So we gotta hit pause on accepting any more for now while we review the ones that have been submitted. We’ll reopen requests soon! (we pinky swear).”
Other rumored additions include a premium subscription service and an expanded video component. However, it feels like users are still far away from getting an “edit” button.
