The creator of The House in Virginia “HIV” series, and his highly coveted mixtapes “New Mood” and “Tsu Me” is finally receiving the recognition he truly deserves. From blazing URL stages since 2011, Tsu Surf has always kept himself grounded as his battle career took off. Propelling him into the forefront of the battle elites, his performances has been nothing short of memorable. Even having “A Charlie fumble somewhere in between the road,” he is considered one of the most consistent and respected in battle rap.
Tsu Surf, always wanting more out of life, knew there is room to grow within the music biz rather than just battling. From being shown the ropes of the industry by Joe Budden, appearing in BET cyphers, and creating music with talented artist like Styles P and Emanny, Surf has caught the eyes and ears of the industry. Drake, who is interested in stepping into the ring against Murda Mook, told Mook that he has to go through Surf in order to see him. For a rapper of Drakes stature, recognizing the amount of work Surf has put in, speaks volumes to those that keep up with Drake; THE WORLD. Ever since that moment, Surf has been shouted out/cosigned by Hot97 and more recently, he met music icon/mogul, 50 cent. As for the details of their link up, it remains to be unseen but if you can put two and two together, we’ll be seeing more of Surf’s work on airwaves pretty soon and maybe a Fif feature.
Surf’s new project, “Newark” is on the way but for now, Download and listen to his impressive catalog:
