On November 8, millions of American voters will head to the polls and cast their ballots in a series of federal and local elections. One week later, the nation could shift its attention toward the next major federal electoral cycle in 2024. Getting ahead of the upcoming midterm election, former President Donald Trump told his supporters that he would make a major announcement on November 15.
“I’m going to be making a very big announcement on Tuesday, Nov. 15 at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Fla.,” Trump said.
Former President Donald Trump did not indicate what he would announce next Tuesday, but many expect him to begin his third presidential campaign. During a recent rally, he publicly hinted at a third campaign.
“In order to make our country successful, safe and glorious again, I will probably have to do it again,” Trump said in October.
The thought of a third Trump campaign is not exactly catching much of America by surprise. For months, many of his supporters and critics have been keenly aware that he may run for a spot in the White House.
“He’s going to run. Everyone always knew he was going to run. He can’t miss the attention any more than he does, and he’s going to run,” Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie said.
“Now we’ll see what happens.”
