At the moment, It’s impossible to talk about today’s Rap landscape without mentioning the state of Florida. From Kodak Black’s continued presence on the streaming charts to Luh Tyler going viral with his viral “Law & Order” video, the Sunshine State is constantly a topic of conversation. Not to mention, Denzel Curry is riding high off of the release of his latest album while the City Girls are prepping for another festival run. With everything that’s coming out of the Sunshine State, it’s easy for listeners and tastemakers to let certain artists and fall through the cracks. However, Monticello’s Trigga500K is one artist that people should keep their eye on.
Earlier this month, Trigga500K unleashed the video for his latest single, “Ether.” While the track is less than two minutes, the Florida native does all that he needs to do in quite a short period of time. From the moment the beat drops, the rising artist gets to rapping and he never lets up.
“Money won’t make you real, but it’ll sure make you feel better,” he begins.
“If I want ’em dead, I’ll tell the gang to do something to make feel better. [I’ll] lose my focus trying to handle beef. Everybody’s gangsta until it’s time to pull up a chair. Now, them f*ck n*ggas act like they don’t wanna eat.”
Bar after bar, Trigga500K proves time and time again that he has the skills and style to become the next big thing out Florida. Check out the “Ether” video below.
