In joining the Colts, Burton will be the newest target for newly acquired QB Philip Rivers, who left the Los Angeles Chargers to reunite with Head Coach Frank Reich. Reich served as Rivers’ offensive coordinator with the Chargers and also served as offensive coordinator with Trey Burton with the Philadelphia Eagles when they won Super Bowl LII.
Undrafted out of the University of Florida in 2014, Burton posted a career-high six touchdown receptions in 2018, but didn’t record a single touchdown last season. With a new team, a veteran quarterback, and a formidable offensive line in his favor in Indianapolis, Burton will look to return to his previous form.
