Toronto native Tory Lanez has found himself in hot water yet again after he reportedly violated a protective order involving Megan Thee Stallion.
Initial reports suggest that the singer caught the attention of local officials by performing at Rolling Loud in Miami, Florida while Megan Thee Stallion was still in the area. By way of a protective order, he is supposed to maintain a certain distance between himself and the Houston native at all times. By reportedly violating this order, he has drawn the ire of a judge in California.
Moving forward, TMZ reports that the singer-songwriter must pay anywhere between $190,000 to $250,000 to remain out of police custody until a trial occurs. He will also be required to steer clear of all events that Megan Thee Stallion will be performing at. As a result, the Toronto rapper will be barred from performing at a number of major music festivals that the GRAMMY winner has been booked to perform at.
Megan Thee Stallion has not issued a formal comment regarding Troy Lanez’s surprise performance at Rolling Loud or the most recent development involving her protective order. Meanwhile, the Toronto native seemingly dismissed the recent development by posting a video of himself smoking a cigar with the caption, “Keezy,” after the news broke.
